How it all started......

In the words of the Bride.........

In 2008, David and I got married. We had a church wedding and our reception was at the Vale Resort. I was an exceptionally cool bride, I let my bridesmaids dictate the colour scheme, they choose plum coloured dresses, and in terms of flowers, well up until they arrived I had no idea what my bouquet or centrepieces would look like. I trusted the florist and had told her to just make it all fab. Thankfully she did!!

David was 100% the "bridezilla" of our relationship. He was up in arms about the chair covers from the very first time he knew they existed. He met loads of suppliers and no one could match sashes to our colour scheme. He eventually settled for a purple organza sash, it was no match at all to the lovely deep plum but it was the best option we had at the time so that was what we got. On the day, it all looked great, and the small things really didn't matter. The wedding went off without a hitch and a day or so later we headed off to Mexico - bliss! 

Whilst in Mexico, David delivered his bombshell. He had worked in insurance for as long as I could remember but a couple of days after sitting in the sun he announced that he was jacking that in and was going to work in weddings. He didn't know what sort of role or in what sort of company, but he was adamant that he was supposed to be in weddings. Well, the pina coladas must have been strong because within 48 hours we had hammered out every wedding job possibility and Bows was born. It was perfect, we couldn't get what we had wanted for our wedding so he was going to change the decor industry.

When David gets an idea in his head, well, watch out world. By the time we had returned from honeymoon, he had registered the domain to the website and started looking for suppliers. By January 2009 my house was filled with samples from just about every chair cover manufacturer in the world and the company had been registered. David preferred fitted covers which were very new to the market. The major advantage they had was that the legs of the chairs always remained covered, unlike linen covers which move and often show the legs, ruining your pictures. He also liked colours and lots of them, the very first colour he got in was the gorgeous plum taffeta which he had so coveted for our wedding.

We did our first wedding fayre in March and by the winter of 2009 we were looking for premises, having rapidly outgrown working at home. Within a year of getting married, David had left his job, was looking for staff and we were getting ready to move into our new home in Talbot Green. 

For a long time, we focused on being the very best at chair covers and getting that right. Gradually, as we have grown, we have introduced a fuller decor package including Chivari Chairs, LED backdrops, LED Dance floors, lighting, LOVE letters and more recently ceiling canopies and room draping. 

Seven years on, and two little people added into the mix, life is hectic and pretty much unrecognisable to back in 2008. David is still very much at the forefront of things and is in his element talking weddings. We have a fabulous team which is rapidly expanding to keep up with demand and we are incredibly privileged to work with so many of the best hotels in South Wales. In 2016 we did over 800 events and we were thrilled to win the Welsh National Wedding Award for being the Best Venue Dresser in Wales for the fourth time.

It has been hard, but we wouldnt have it any other way!
